FYVIE HOMECOMING FESTIVAL 2009

Glen Garioch Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky

As part of the national “Homecoming Scotland 2009” initiative the historic village of Fyvie, in Aberdeenshire, North East Scotland, will host its own “Fyvie Homecoming Festival” from 28-30 August 2009.

A warm invitation is extended to everybody who has links with the village, (no matter how tenuous!) as well as those who might be visiting the area on business or on holiday at this time and would like to sample some genuine Scottish hospitality, to come and join in the celebrations.

A number of local organisations and residents are working together to ensure that this will be a memorable event for all who attend or take part. However, if you are unable to join us on this special week-end, but would like to contribute in some way by sending us your memories of Fyvie, stories or photographs, then please contact the event organiser, Anne Iravani, at bpscotland@btopenworld.com

STOP PRESS: Visitors to the festival will have a chance to listen to award winning storyteller Greg Allen. Click here for more details.

Click here to download an mp3 of "St Andrew's Forever", written by Elizabeth Dennison especially for Homecoming Scotland 2009, and sung by Sheila Macdonald.

A DVD will be produced, covering the highlights of the festival. The DVD will retail for £10. For information, or to reserve a copy, email Gerry Donnelly at hogghouse@techemail.com
